Response blog unit 4

In response to Beth Taylor's Blog:
I really enjoyed reading your descriptions of Samantha’s blog. You really bring your reader into your writing with the details and information you bring into the blog. As a mother myself I also found what you were writing about interesting since it applies to me. I LOVE that you have linked up the different discussions on Samantha’s blog that make it so easy for me to click over and read exactly what your talking about. You clearly state why you like this blog and the main point of Samantha’s blog which makes it so easy on the reader to know if Samantha’s blog is one they might be interested in reading for themselves.

Unit 4

This blog is centered around the Buss family, and is written by the mother Faith. She mainly shares about her children and the experiences they have together as a family. She posts tons of pictures which makes you feel as if you really know the family. She has two children, a boy and a girl, and they are adorable. They love to work in their garden and are outside working on projects often, which are enjoyable activities to read about. Most of this blog is artsy, the background looks like it was taken off of a scrapbook. Faith is also a part time photographer so the page is filled with more pictures than it is words. This, however, is one of the main reasons I enjoy this blog.
As a mother in today’s society, where any and all advice you ever want, or do not want, is available online. I find myself getting bombarded with tips, advice, and suggestions from baby websites, friends or family on social sites, and from motherhood forums. All the solicited and unsolicited advice can really wear you down, and make you question your decisions. I enjoy Faith Buss’ blog because it is simple, easy, and cheerful. It is refreshing to go online and find a blog like this where you leave the site feeling refreshed and uplifted and not more depressed and worn down. It also does not hurt that her kids are so stinking cute!
